Matthew Berube was born in Hornepayne, Ontario (a northern rural community). He attended Sheridan College for an Honours Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (Athletic Therapy) and now is a Certified Athletic Therapist and SHIFT Concussion Management Protocol provider. After graduating, he moved back to Sudbury and opened Dynamic Therapy & Rehabilitation Centre in 2017!
Jessica Thompson is a Physiotherapist, Certified Athletic Therapist & First Responder. She was born in Wingham, Ontario (a small rural community located along the East coast of Lake Huron). She attended Sheridan College for an Honors Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (Athletic Therapy) and then completed her Master of Science with distinction (Physiotherapy). She spent a year working with a professional rugby team in England and even had the chance to work with Team Canada 7s Rugby team on the London, UK leg of their world tour. Her passion for exercise rehabilitation and prescription has allowed her patients to see beneficial and long-lasting results.
Scott Wiseman was born and raised in Lively, Ontario. He first attended Laurentian University for Kinesiology, then completed BAHSc Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College. Scott is a Certified Athletic Therapist, Registered Massage Therapist and First Responder. While at Sheridan, Scott had the incredible opportunity to work with the Toronto Marlies for two years. Scott truly believes the best way to get people better for the long term is to include exercise and get them moving better. “Athletic Therapy is a perfect mix of manual therapy and exercise, to get you pain-free quickly, and keep it that way.” Outside of work, Scott loves to travel, hike, and participate in CrossFit.
David Capstick is a Certified Athletic Therapist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, and First Responder. He studied Athletic Therapy at the University of Winnipeg and has worked as a strength and conditioning coach with both Laurentian University and the University of Winnipeg’s varsity sports teams. David’s ability to analyze movement and create tailored effective exercise programs are top tier. You can find him in the gym and the clinic at DTRC. Outside of work, David loves spending time exploring the great outdoors and is an avid rock climber!
Ryan Taylor was born in Parry Sound, Ontario. He attended Central Michigan University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology while being a part of the men’s track and field team.
Ryan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and has experience working with a variety of athletes and sports, but most distinctively jumping and running athletes. He is also currently acting as the strength and conditioning coach and assistant track and field coach for the track and field team at Laurentian University. Outside of work, Ryan likes to work out, hike and spend time with family.
Joelle, originally from Orillia, Ontario, is a dedicated physiotherapist with a passion for helping individuals reclaim their pain-free lives. She earned her Master's in Physiotherapy from Western University, refining her expertise in the field. With tailored programs for each patient, Joelle prioritizes education for empowerment and injury prevention. Drawing from her background as a previous Athletic Therapist and varsity volleyball player, she brings a unique perspective to her practice. Proficient in manual therapy, functional dry needling, and personalized exercises, Joelle is skilled at addressing various injuries. She advocates for the incorporation of physical activity into daily life, believing it is essential for overall well-being. Outside of work, Joelle enjoys hiking, traveling, strength-training, and playing volleyball. She also cherishes time spent with loved ones, embracing a holistic approach to well-being.
Dayna Fairwell was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. She attended Laurentian University to complete a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and achieve a certificate of bilingualism. At DTRC, you'll find Dayna behind the desk, but outside of work, you'll find her playing or coaching basketball and spending time outdoors. If you see Dayna, ask her about her basketball shoe collection!
Hartley is a hypo-allergenic, non-shedding bernedoodle. She is a therapy dog and loves greeting patients, comforting them during treatment, and motivating them on the gym floor! Outside of work, she loves to go hiking, go camping, and play with all her furry friends!
